Lightning and Lava!

The members of the Molten Metal Maestros came together over their love of classic heavy metal, especially from the 70's and 80's. Individual members have performed at CBGB, The Stone Pony, The Bitter End, The Cutting Room, The Knitting Factory, The Great Notch Inn, Cafe Wha?, Groove, Sugarbar & beyond.

While targeting sizable audiences wherever metal is admired, some of the Maestros have also contributed to large-scale performances such as Trans-Siberian Orchestra, The Lion King on Broadway, VH1 Fashion Awards, Andre Williams and Ziké.

Heavily influenced by both Skeletor and He-Man, Jay-Cee shreds with the full power of Grayskull at his disposal.

Raised in the Italian countryside on copious amounts of Vivaldi, Led Zeppelin & homemade ravioli, he later furthered his musical studies at the esteemed (albeit, often unknown) Conservatory for Impractical Guitar Wizardy in Dusseldorf.

Once, while traversing the Alps, he stitched a bad wound with a broken guitar string. It was amazing.

Currently, Jay-Cee honors the legacy of Jimmy Page in the tribute band, Bustling Hedgerow.

As you can imagine, his mother is very proud of him.

Steffan was not always the warrior of riffage he is today.

Originally trained on classical piano & pennywhistle, "The Woödz" cut his teeth in the clubs of Downtown Poughkeepsie until ambition consumed him in a mystical blue fire that burned his body to a crisp.

Steffan emerged from that tragedy as the hunk of man you see, today ... and with the ability to shoot lasers from his fingertips while tearing up a fretboard. This dude is nothing short of dangerous.

Often on tour with heavy metal fever dream, Witchforce, or Thick Lizzy (the greatest Thin Lizzy tribute band in Gowanus Brooklyn), Steffan sometimes appears at our shows as a hologram.

After years in the underground jazz scene, "Firemouth" Ford made his debut on a heavy metal stage in 1986, thereby foreshadowing the appearance of Corey Glover in NYC many years later.

Celebrated for his use of screams, harmonies & threats that sound like favors, this frontman has proven time & again that there is no one better to shake your lighter at while his massive tongue dances above your head.

"Firemouth" maintains a regular schedule of DIY car maintenance, medium-distance cycling & the occasional bakery crawl. It is believed, however, that Mr. Ford actually consumes multiple pastries per day.

Rumors have also circulated for years that the identity of "Firemouth" Ford is completely fabricated.

G-Rock has stated from the beginning: he's only in this for the money.

"I told these guys, 'Ain't nuttin' but the 80's out there in the clubs...time to cash in! ' "

Initiated into The Ancient Order of Godkillers at an early age, G-Rock is the first Maestro contractually allowed to wield a sword on stage ...or, really, at any time... I mean, think about, he's got a damn sword.

Suspected to be the only child Geddy Lee ever sired with a groupie, this bassist has vowed to taunt his absentee father by never being in a rush.

He hails from "parts unknown."

Kavi began life as a simple wooden boy until discovering the true Elixir of Life in the unerring sounds of Faith No More & Jefferson Starship.

At age 9, he also found a rare dragon egg at the edge of his family's property. So, that was weird. But, subsequently, he cared for the hatchling until it matured into a responsible, productive member of society.

Then, at age 14, Kavi was recruited into the emerging pre-grunge, "redneck rawwk" band known as The Dentists , later citing 'creative differences' as his reason for leaving.

When not touring with his vanity project, Smiling Black Dragon, he tends to several fields of asparagus. Turns out it drives the ladies wild.
